MEET THE AUTHOR
I’m a corporate reporting professional and debut fiction author who lives in Brussels. I am captivated by the potency of storytelling as a way of conveying the realities (murky and otherwise) of corporate life. Besides my foray into fiction writing, technical writing has been a core part of my extensive professional experience. And I'm fascinated and a keen observer of what shapes human decision- making and behavior, especially by those who wield power. In doing so, I've often tapped into the learnings from reading tons of business texts, watching real-life situations, and savouring related fiction in all its forms.
I have lived (worked and/or studied) in six different countries across three continents, and writing in one form or the other has been a core part of my journey. Over the last 18 years, my career focus has been on the development of corporate reporting standards, whereby I’ve authored long-form publications (10+ thought-leadership or expositional publications) and shorter-form content (multiple comment letters, 50+ investor-targeted blogs, dozens of media articles, including a business book review, and a few academic journal articles where I’ve shared a practitioner’s perspective). Before that, in my role as an investment analyst, management consultant, and auditor, I drafted analytical research reports and business plans for entrepreneurs and contributed to the drafting of business advisory reports.
Given my professional background, writing about companies was a natural landing spot for my creative writing debut. And, in 2026, I’ve self-published a novella, Black and White Smoke, which interweaves the themes of C-Suite power struggles, corporate espionage, and overcoming personal demons.
